Final Project
Sorry that i am uber late on all online and some other assignments. I was really not sure what I was planning on doing. I put this off long enough and sat down and really thought it out. For my final project i would like to change how you look at things or what you may be looking at by using extreme close ups or change where the focus is, challenging ones perspective on the image. I am hoping you cannot tell what you are seeing unless told or do not see everything at once and need to keep coming back to the image.

Dissagreement
Sorry this is a bit late but here it is.
Anna bellas picture of the football statue could be something she does not like. Unlike what we discussed saying it looks to nice to get that kind of feeling that she may hate it. The thing is we have that person looking at it and the shoulder of the other man in the corner of the picture which means she did not really frame this up or really care what was going on around this statue she just wanted to take the picture and move on. It did come out more colorful then she probably hoped but in her rush and non caring of the subject we get that from the somewhat poor framing of the mans shoulder.
Sandy's Picture on the swings was a good photo but i feel as though her sister took away from the photo. With her crazy face compared to what was happening if she was cropped out or not even there this photo would have taken on a whole new meaning. Where this father was standing and swinging as his kid watched on possibly even walking behind him which would send him flying into the air.
And Lastly Maria with the dog photo. I feel as though it was on the dark side. I did not even realize there was a dog in the photo at first. And the fact that i talked about how the dog was waiting for the phone was for the fact that i saw the phone first then the dog waiting by it. If you had better lighting on the dog it may have put a different feel onto it. I know it may have been the projector but thats what i think.

Lecture
They say a picture is worth 1000 words. That an entire image tells a story, yet this image really just speaks and tells the story in one simple word DAMAGED. You really do not need to read into the image on what the photographer wanted to say. Walker Evans just nailed it with this shot. He tells everything he wanted to with the actual word if you remove that and show something that is broken you open it up to tons of interpretations for everyone to yell and scream on what it really means or shows. This image tells you want it wants to say. Walker Evans is a man who can wait until the image shows what he wants to say so it is not really opened to interpretation even if it means "cheating" an image which is done every time you take a photo.
